Since 2017, PRIMES has assisted the National Centre of Competence in Research "The Mathematics of Physics – SwissMAP" ( NCCR SwissMAP ) in the establishment and operation of PRIMES-Switzerland, a guided math reading program, similar to the math reading section of the MIT PRIMES program. PRIMES-Switzerland is operated in collaboration with the University of Geneva and ETH Zurich.

In 2018-2019, PRIMES-Switzerland held mini-conferences in Geneva and in Zurich, where students presented expository talks on the topic of their study. Program Coordinator Dr. Claude Eicher from MIT attended the mini-conferences and awarded the students certificates of completion of the PRIMES-Switzerland program.
