There is an application fee of $90. If you would like to request a fee waiver, this may be done in the application itself.
***Fee waiver applications are due two weeks before the application deadline: November 20, 2026***
Submitting GRE scores is entirely optional: We will accept scores if submitted (and are most interested in the Math Subject test result, if any), but it will not hurt your application if not included.
To apply, fill out the online application by 23:59, EST, on December 1st.

Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 4.8 to be eligible for this program. Applications from students who do not meet this requirement will not be reviewed.
The following courses (or their equivalent) are also required for SM admission:
- Real Analysis: 18.100P, 18.100Q, 18.100A, or 18.100B
- Discrete Mathematics: 18.200 or 18.200A
- Numerical Analysis: 18.330
- Design and Analysis of Algorithms: 18.410J
- Probability: 18.600
- Statistics: 18.650
- Advanced Algebra: 18.701 or 18.700
