Bio

Sammy Luo joined MIT as an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow and Instructor in 2023. He previously completed his undergraduate degree at MIT, then was a graduate student at Stanford University, where he was supported by an NSF Graduate Research fellowship. He received his PhD in 2023 under the supervision of Jacob Fox. His primary research interests are in extremal and additive combinatorics, and his work has connections to fields such as number theory and probability.
