Bio

Robin Zhang joined MIT as an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow in 2023.

He received his B.S. from Stanford University in 2017 and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2023 under the supervision of Michael Harris.

His research is in number theory, using techniques from algebraic geometry and representation theory to answer questions of arithmetic interest. His specialties include special values of L-functions, rational points on algebraic varieties, and representations of finite & p-adic groups.

He is also a WSET-certified sommelier and has co-authored a James Beard Award-nominated cookbook.
