Probability and Mathematical Physics

Konstantinos Kavvadias works on probability theory. In particular, he works on Schramm-Loewner Evolutions (SLE), the two-dimensional Gaussian free field (GFF), and the relation between SLE and GFF. He also works on random planar maps and their relations with Liouville Quantum Gravity (LQG) and SLE. He completed a B.S. in Pure Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2017, and a M.S. in Pure Mathematics (Part III) from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2018. He received his PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2022 under the supervision of Jason Miller and he has been a Research Associate in Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (DPMMS), University of Cambridge, UK since October 2022. He will join MIT as C.L.E. Moore Instructor on September 2023.
