Bio

Jonathan Zung did his PhD at Princeton under the supervision of Peter Ozsváth. Before that, he worked in the Seung lab on connectomics. Before that, he studied at the University of Toronto.
He has lately been thinking about flows, foliations, and their relationships with other threads in the study of 3-manifolds. Besides math, many of his interests involve things flying through the air (juggling, frisbee, kites) or rapid human-powered locomotion (bikes, ice skating). He hopes to someday explore the intersection between these two categories.
