Algebraic, enumerative, geometric, and dynamical combinatorics

Bio

Colin Defant is currently an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT. He completed his undergraduate studies in math at the University of Florida in 2017. He was then a math graduate student at Princeton University, where he was supported by an NSF Graduate Research fellowship and a Hertz fellowship. He received his Ph.D. in 2022 under the supervision of Noga Alon. He is broadly interested in many aspects of combinatorics, especially when it is enumerative, algebraic, geometric, or dynamical. A lot of his work has focused on understanding dynamical systems defined on combinatorial objects that have some algebraic or lattice-theoretic significance.
