Grading:15% quizzes, 10% homeworks
Quizzes:Given each Wednesday in class. Each quiz will have 2–3 problems, some of which may be from the homework due that day. Lowest two quiz scores in the semester will be dropped. There will be no make-up quizzes.
Homeworks:The list of all assignments will be on the course syllabus. Each homework will be due in class on Wednesday of the next week after the material had been studied. Lowest two homework scores in the semester will be dropped. Late homeworks will not be accepted. You are encouraged to discuss the homeworks with other students, but please write your own solutions.
Please write your name, the course name and the section, and homework number/due date in the upper right corner of the first page. Please also write the number of each problem that you solve. If there are several sheets, please staple them together or write your name on each sheet.
Twizzes:Occasionally, you will be asked at the beginning of the section to write anonymously certain facts that we will use often. Click here for more information (regularly updated).

Fri, Sep 4:Since there is no class on Monday, there will be an additional GSI office hour 2–3PM on Friday. Depending on how many students show up and on availability of classrooms, this extra office hour might be converted into a session covering integration of rational functions. (If we are lucky enough to find a classroom, it will be posted next to my office door.)
Thu, Sep 3:Quiz 1 has been graded. It will be distributed in section on Wednesday; you may also pick up your work during office hours. Same applies to homework 1. There was one anonymous quiz paper; if you think that it is yours, please come to my office hours.
