Office Hours:

Lie Wang: Wednesday 1:00pm-3:00pm. (Usually, I will be in my office every morning.)

 

Homework:

1.    Homework will be assigned. Usually, the homework will be assigned on Thursday and will due next Thursday.

2.    Homework will be collected in the class and will be graded.

3.    If you need extension on the homework, contact me before the due date. Otherwise no late homework is acceptable.

4.    You are supposed to work individually, not in group.

 

Exams:

There will be two in class midterm exams. (We do not have a final exam.)

Midterm1: March 16th. Topics that will be covered: sample space and probability; conditional probability; law of total probability and Bayess rule; independence; random variables (discrete and continuous); expectation; variance; transforming random variables; joint distribution; covariance; correlation.
