Preparing for Graduate School

Students preparing for graduate school should consult with professionals in the field and read through a list of frequently asked questions and answers.

Graduate Record Exams

Graduate schools expect the GRE General Test, as well as the relevant GRE subject test. The General Test is given year-round at Prometric testing centers in Boston, Brookline, and elsewhere.

The Subject Tests are offered only three times a year (September, October, and April) at Roxbury Community College, Simmons College, Suffolk University, and other places farther away. The ETS website provides a complete list of test center and test dates.
