Biography

Tom Mrowka is Professor of Mathematics at MIT. He received his S.B. from MIT in 1983 and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1988 under the direction of Clifford Taubes and Robion Kirby. His research concerns partial differential equations, the differential topology of three- and four-dimensional manifolds, knot theory, and the mathematical aspects of gauge theories.
