Heat kernel's lower bounds on arbitrary Riemannian manifolds

Alexander Grigoryan

Let p(x,y,t) be a heat kernel on a non-compact complete Riemannian manifold. The question to be discussed is an estimate of the kind

with a function f(t). The main result is that the estimate (1) can be obtained from the volume growth assumption and the local geometry of the neighborhood of the point x.
