ABSTRACT

We will survey some recent results concerning arrangements of circles and pseudocircles in the plane. For example, new bounds on the number of incidences between points and circles (Aronov and Sharir), and how it relates to counting empty digons in arrangements of circles. Applications to Sylvester-type theorems and more.
