ABSTRACT

I will discuss some interesting integer sequences that have arisen in the contexts of coding theory, lattices, number theory and combinatorics. I will also talk about the OnLine Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences which currently receives over 12,000 hits per day. Judging by the amount of email it stimulates, the database continues to fulfil the purpose for which it was designed, helping people identify sequences (it has been called an "online fingerprint service" for mathematics).
