Workshop on Minimal Surfaces, 3-Manifold Topology and Related Topics

About

The goal of this workshop is to foster connections and collaboration between graduate students and post-docs working in low dimensional topology and geometric analysis. The workshop is funded by the National Science Foundation through a Focused Research Group grant DMS-0854767 by Toby Colding, Dave Gabai and Bill Minicozzi. Most of the talks will be given by postdocs and grad students.

Time and location

Workshop activities will run from 2:30pm on Friday, April 26th to 6pm on Sunday, April 28th. It will be held in room 4-163 at MIT:

There will also be a welcome reception on Friday evening, and a banquet on Saturday evening. Precise locations for those are yet to be confirmed.

Financial support

We expect to be able to fund travel and accommodation (for Friday and Saturday nights) for graduate students and postdocs. Rooms have been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge.
