I will use the following table to convert from a numerical average as described in the syllabus (30% for the final, 25% for each midterm, 10% for quizzes and 10% for homework) to a letter grade. Note that if you do BADLY on the final, your final grade is capped at one letter grade higher than what you would earn for that score alone, but if you do WELL (better than your termlong average) this provision has no effect.
