On the transfer of automorphic representations from GSp(4) to GL(4)

Abstract: A recent paper of Arthur's describes a parameterization of representations of GSp(4) in terms of those of GL(4). These results should follow from a comparison of the stable trace formula for GSp(4) with a stabilized twisted trace formula for GL(4) x GL(1). We describe the progress made towards the comparison of these trace formulas.
