11.1 The Antiderivative

The antiderivative is defined as follows. It is usually referred to as the "indefinite integral",and we will call it that after this section.

The symbol is called an integral sign, f(y) is called the integrand, and dx is called a differential. y here is called a dummy variable of integration.
