Catherine Lennon
Massachusetts Institute of Technology

I
am a graduate student in the mathematics department, studying number
theory with Benjamin Brubaker at MIT. I will be graduating in May of
2011. I am also a member of and departmental representative for GWAMIT (Graduate Women at MIT). We are currently planning an Empowerment Conference to be held this spring, and you should check out the website for more information and how to get involved.
My lovely husband Aaron has insisted that I add a link to his website.
Publications:
- "Gaussian hypergeometric evaluations of traces of Frobenius for elliptic curves," Catherine Lennon. To appear in Proceedings of the AMS. (arXiv)
- "A trace formula for certain Hecke operators and Gaussian hypergeometric functions," Catherine Lennon. (arXiv)
Here is some (potentially useful) Magma code I wrote for computing character sums and finite field hypergeometric functions
