Alexander duality for monomial ideals and their resolutions

Alexander duality for monomial ideals has until now been applicable only when the monomial generators are squarefree. In this talk, the construction will be broadened to include all monomial ideals. It will also be shown how Alexander duality interacts with certain canonically defined free resolutions of monomial ideals.
