I am going to be away from the department and would like my email forwarded to another email address?

1. Create a file in your home directory named .forward
2. You need only put the email address you would like your email forwarded to in this file and save it.

All incoming mail will now be forwarded to your new address.

Please note: If you want mail to go to your new address and still have it come to your math inbox, you need to put your math email account in the file as well. Separate multiple addresses by a comma.

Example .forward file to receive your mail at your Math inbox and new place:

\user, user@newplace.com
